Foosball Table Maintenance Guide

Foosball Table Maintenance Guide

A little regular maintenance on your foosball table will keep it in top form for years of play. Set up a regular schedule to make sure your table stays smooth, clean, and ready for action.

Regular Maintenance

  • Wipe the Playing Surface
    • Use a soft, damp cloth to gently remove dust, dirt, and crumbs from the playing field.
    • Avoid excessive moisture to prevent warping or damage to the surface.
  • Clean the Rods
    • After each session, wipe the rods with a soft, dry cloth.
    • This prevents the buildup of sweat and oils, keepin?

Monthly Maintenance

  • Lubricate the Rods
    • Apply a small amount of silicone-based lubricant to each rod.
    • Move the rods back and forth to distribute the lubricant evenly.
    • We recommend using Roberto Sport Silicone Lubricant for optimal performance.
    • Avoid oil-based products like WD-40, as they attract dirt and can damage the table’s components.
  • Check and Tighten Screws
    • Inspect all bolts, screws, and fasteners.
    • Tighten any that have loosened due to gameplay vibrations to maintain a stable, balanced table.
  • Inspect Balls and Players
    • Clean the foosballs and player figures using a mild soap solution and a soft cloth.
    • Check for cracks, chips, or excessive wear, and replace damaged pieces if needed.
  • Check Rod Bearings
    • Ensure bearings are clean and free of debris for smooth, fast player rotation.
    • Clean them gently if you notice friction or stiffness.

Annual Maintenance

Once a year, perform a thorough inspection and deep clean:
  • Deep Clean: Wipe all surfaces, rods, bearings, and player figures thoroughly.
  • Inspect for Wear and Tear: Look for signs of damage or warping in the table, rods, and handles.
  • Replace Broken or Worn Parts: Replace damaged rods, bearings, or players to keep gameplay consistent and enjoyable.

General Tips

  • Use a Protective Cover: Protect your table from dust, spills, and scratches with a Roberto Sport Foosball Table Protective Cover.
  • Avoid Harsh Chemicals: Stick to mild soap solutions and soft cloths to protect the finish.
  • Use the Right Lubricant: Only use silicone-based lubricants for rod maintenance.
  • Clean Spills Immediately: Wipe up food, drinks, or other spills right away to prevent stains and damage.
