There are no gameplay changes between this version and the 2021 version, the only changes are in the artwork. This version also features a brand-new first player marker and newly redesigned chips for the gems.
Splendor, by Marc Andre, is a multi-award winning game of gem-collecting and card development. It won the 2014 Golden Geek Family Game and Board Game of the Winner. Players are merchants of the Renaissance trying to buy gem mines, means of transportation, shops all in order to acquire the most prestige points. If you’re wealthy enough, you might even receive a visit from a noble at some point, which of course will further increase your prestige.
